20 miles of I-10 to get a makeover this week

The Arizona Department of Transportation is scheduled to begin a project to repair cracks in the pavement on a twenty mile segment of Interstate 10 east of Quartzsite beginning Monday, April 8th.

Work is scheduled to take place Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow extra travel time through the work zone.

What to expect during crack seal project:

• One lane in will be restricted during work hours as crews work to repair the pavement along eastbound and westbound I-10 between mile post 32-44.
• Repairs are scheduled to take place in segments; the first segment will be from mile post 32-44 and the second segment will be from mile post 44-52.
