On December 27, 2009 the La Paz County Sheriff’s Office responded to the desert area off of Hovatter Road, in reference to a deceased person. Upon arrival the deputies found a deceased person that had been dismembered.
The deceased person has now been adentified as Dwight Tobyne, of Scottsdale, Arizona. Mr. Tobyne was reported missing by his family members on November 2009.
The Scottsdale Police Department has arrested and charged his ex-wife Shari Tobyne with the murder of Dwight Tobyne.
The La Paz County Criminal Investigations Division was instrumental is identifying Dwight Tobyne along with the Scottsdale Police Department, Pima County Medical Examiners Office and the Arizona Department of Public Safety Crime Lab.
