Sustainable community comes to Bullhead

A Belgium company specializing in solar products and renewable energy projects throughout the world is working with Bullhead City to bring a sustainable community to the city. Meldynique Solarsystems International joined with Bullhead’s Regional Economic Development Authority last week to announce the community they’re calling Becoville.

It is to be a gated development on 640 acres with its own solar energy, water, biofuel, waste, agriculture including organic produce, aquaculture including shrimp and catfish, and energy-efficient housing.

La Paz County has also been the focus of potential private sector green investments. Could a sustainable development like this be possible here too? Click here for the story.

  1. Though this may be a great idea, it would be even better if the true owners of the land were notified of its use. Someone should be looking into this further.
