With so much sadness, I inform you that one of our longtime friends and winter visitors, Clyde Arndt passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011. Many of you know his wife “Cookie” as she worked with us in the visitor’s center at the Chamber of Commerce for many years during the winter.
Clyde was fun and if you ever needed anything he was the guy to call. He helped with off-road races and for many years was the “Barbeque Technician” for the annual Best in the Desert volunteer get-together. He loved boating on the river, the desert, his wife “Cookie” and their darling dog “Annie.”
I will always remember Clyde with a smile on his face and a friendly, helping hand. Rest in Peace my friend.
