Over the past several months, the La Paz County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating numerous copper wire thefts from various farming operations in the eastern part of La Paz County. The thefts are occurring during the night time hours, and it appears that a vehicle(s) are being utilized to access the various locations. It also appears that more then one individual is responsible for the thefts and subsequent criminal damage associated at the various farming locations.
Local agricultural districts have combined fundrasing efforts to offer an award of up to $10,000 for information leading to the apprehension and conviction of individuals responsible for the theft of copper wire and components from wells and agricultural facilities.
The La Paz County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying potential suspects and or vehicles that are being utilized to commit these criminal acts.
