The Parker Lions Christmas for the Troops program is scheduling a shipment of baked goods to Afghanistan. We will be shipping baked goods to our troops for the 4th of July. We want to bring a little bit of home to them and remind them they are in our thoughts and prayers.
Our packaging date will be June 22nd. So we need your baked items prior to the 22nd of June. We are asking anyone who wishes to send to our troops to participate.
Church baking groups is especially needed. If you bake an item that contains nuts please mark the item as containing nuts. This is your chance to say a personal thank you to our Troops. To those that do not bake we can use a monetary contribution to help pay the cost of shipping. Last year our boxes arrived on July 4th via helicopter at FOB Wilson during a lull in the fighting.
