Power has been restored by APS to all customers in La Paz and Yuma Counties who were without power due to this week’s storm.
APS spokesperson Andrea Bereznak said, “With poles and wire down across southwest Arizona, crews worked continuously to make the necessary repairs and restore power. As of 3am on July 7th, APS has all customers in Yuma and La Paz Counties restored with the exception of six agricultural well sites in Wenden. ETR for those customers is mid-afternoon.”
The power company’s recent high levels of communication with the public on power outages, including its communication with Parker Live, is unprecedented. The APS Twitter Outage Center feed is available HERE.
I agree. The communication is excellent. I love the inclusion of social media in their communication strategies.
And, just so you know; I met Andrea at a Chamber Mixer where we had shared our social media information. Due to a post on parkerliveonline, I was able to contact her directly and give her a heads up on the post. That was a year ago and I think they’ve done a great job keeping the community informed.
