New cable provider, faster internet speeds

Parker Live readers whose internet access is provided by Parker’s cable service will be happy to hear that the new provider Suddenlink is increasing the speeds of its service.

Suddenlink services with download speeds of 756 Kilobits per second (Kbps) and 6 and 10 Megabits per second (Mbps) have been increased up to 1.5, 10 and 15 Mbps, respectively, and renamed accordingly: Suddenlink High Speed Internet 1.5, 10.0 and 15.0.

Existing customers will automatically be getting these new speeds. Suddenlink High Speed Internet 15.0 service is the fastest residential Internet service in Parker.

The faster Internet speeds are a first step in a capital investment program that soon will bring even faster Internet speeds and more high-definition (HD) TV channels to Parker. These steps are part of an approximately $10 million investment program this year to add and enhance services in Arizona and California properties acquired April 1 from NPG Cable.
