Women’s Opportunity Award

Since 1972, Soroptimist has been helping women the world over reclaim their dreams through the Women’s Opportunity Awards program. This program provides cash grants to women who are working to better their lives through additional skills training and education.

Soroptimist International of Parker, a volunteer organization for business and professional women, will present a $1,000 Women’s Opportunity Award to help a La Paz County woman to improve her economic situation through additional education and training. The lucky recipient of the award will become eligible to receive a regional $5,000 award and the possibility of advancing on to receive $10,000 at the national level.

Eligible applicants are:

• A woman with primary financial responsibility for yourself and
your dependants
• Attending an undergraduate degree program or a vocational
skills training program
• Have financial need

The deadline for your submitted essays is December 15th.
