Thanksgiving in Parker

The water may be too cold now for many people to get in, but the Parker area never has a holiday weekend that isn’t alive with activity. After celebrating on Turkey Day Thursday, residents and visitors took to the desert to play.

Everywhere, people in ATVs, UTVs, dune buggies, Jeeps, Bugs, dirt bikes, trucks, golf carts and bicycles were out in force, spending their days in each others’ company and generally enjoying themselves.

Here are a few of the many videos posted online recently, including some from earlier winter weekends. While people in colder states and countries begin dealing with snow and freezing temperatures, Parker, Arizona re-defines winter.
