In one year, out the other

It’s been 9 days since the beginning of the year, and today begins the second work week of the year (kids go back to school in the Parker Unified School District today).

So, how are your New Year’s Resolutions going? Everyone still on the wagon? Have you even started? Or perhaps you didn’t make any at all because you knew you wouldn’t keep them? According to this, today is the day most of us give them up. (How to succeed.)

Last Wednesday, the ‘Parker’s Biggest Loser’ competition began, with participants aiming to lose the most amount of weight (by percentage of starting weight). Good luck to the 40 Parker locals who entered (here’s the best diet).

Myself? I’m eating better at least. Cooking more. Trying to choose food more wisely. At 5′ 10” and 140 pounds I’m not in any need of weight loss, but I could sure tone up. So, we’ll see if my resolution about working out holds up. The cold hard truth: I haven’t even started yet. (Maybe that disqualifies me from the get-go.)

What about you?
