The La Paz County Sheriff’s Explorer Post #0945 is holding a livestock raffle from March 8th till March 30th. They are raffling off a farm raised hog. The hog will be butchered after the raffle, and currently has about 150 to 175 lbs of meat once dressed out.
The ticket cost is $10.00 for one or $25.00 for three. The drawing will be held at the next Explorer Training Day on April 1st at the LPCSO Boating Safety Center. The winner need not be present, as they will be contacted via telephone to make arrangements for pickup.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the La Paz County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Trailer at the La Paz County Fair. Starting on March 12th, they can be purchased from the Sheriff’s Administration building in Parker or from your local Sheriff’s Explorer. They will be available for purchase until March 30th.
Law Enforcement Exploring is a career-oriented program that gives young adults the opportunity to explore a career in law enforcement by working with local law enforcement agencies. The Sheriff’s Explorers are 100% funded by community donations and fund raisers.
