Excessive heat warning remains for Friday

Record or near-record high temps are in the forecast for today; the National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning like yesterday’s which will continue through today, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

The average high for this day is 101 degrees. The highest recorded temp for this date was 111 degrees, recorded in 2001. The forecast today is for 113 in the Parker area.

The National Weather Service advises that heat stroke is an emergency; call 911.
