APS restored power to all of its customers north of Parker late Tuesday afternoon, but said it continues to work on restoring power to non-APS customers who were affected too.
A third of an inch of rain was recorded at KLPZ Studios near the railroad tracks in Parker, while Parker Airport just to the north experienced two-thirds of an inch during the same time period. The airport also recorded a 56 mph wind gust, which could explain why 7 power poles were downed in the storm early on Tuesday afternoon.
Dozens of APS trucks and CBS 5 News were on a closed section of Highway 95 this evening, expecting to be there for some time as crews restored service to the remaining people along the river without power.
Parker Live was down for several hours today in an unrelated connectivity outage affecting some web servers for the west coast. The site should now be operating correctly on all browsers and devices.
