Christmas for the Troops co-founder Bill Risen tells Parker Live that 149 boxes of donated items from La Paz County have been sent to our troops in Afghanistan.
Earlier this week, a team of volunteers helped pack magazines, books, personal care items, cookies, candy, soup, playing cards and many other items in USPS shipping boxes. The total cost to send them was $2,004.00.
There will be a second shipping December 5th.
