AT&T Wireless to get better in Parker area

AT&T confirms that its data service in the Parker area is to get better this year with some upgrades and a new tower.

In stage one, an existing tower that has provided an EDGE data network (with data speeds equivalent to dialup internet) is to be updated at the end of the month of April to 3G broadband speeds. This will markedly improve the experience of accessing mobile data via AT&T in the Parker area.

Stage two will be the construction of a new tower inside the town of Parker. The speeds will be at least 3G and possibly higher. Construction is slated for the end of October, with service coming online in the weeks after.
