UPDATE 6:00pm– Reportedly the FBI has taken over the investigation into what happened early this morning. The suspect is still wanted at this time and – contrary to some reports – has not turned himself in. Parker PD is asking for information that would lead to his arrest. See below.

Parker Police Department says a homicide occurred in the 1100 block of Palo Verde Avenue early Saturday morning.

At approximately 4:10 a.m., Parker Police officers responded to a call for a person who had been stabbed. The Officers arrived at the residence and found the victim lying on the ground outside of the front door of the residence. Medical personnel transported the victim to the La Paz Regional Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

According to witnesses the suspect is Jonathan Randall Story, a white male, 22 years of age, height 5’6, 130 lbs., red hair and brown eyes, pictured above). Witnesses say he was involved in an argument with the victim before stabbing him. The suspect immediately fled the area.

“If anyone knows the location or comes into contact with the suspect please immediately call the Parker Police Department (928) 669-2265 or dial 911,” said a statement by Parker Police Saturday morning.

* The original update said “La Paz County Jail”. This was an error. Story was booked into CRIT Jail.

  1. CRIT Jail because the Evander was tribal, I believe. Hopefully the FBI pursues it to the fullest extent they can.
