La Paz County School Superintendent Janice Shelton, has appointed JoAnne Ehasz (\’E-haus\) to complete the term of Randy Hartless on the Arizona Western College District Governing Board.
Ehasz brings a variety of experiences to the post of representing La Paz County District 1 on the board, including work in economic development and her time as Director of Medical Staff at La Paz Regional Hospital. She is nationally certified in economic development, holding a CEcD. Mrs. Ehasz has also served on the Western Arizona Vocational Education Board that serves school districts in La Paz and Mohave County.
In addition, Ehasz also brings a community college perspective, as a product of Mount Hood Community College. At MHCC she earned an Associate of Arts degree and served as Vice President of the Student Body Association. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Minnesota.
Ehasz’ appointment is effective August 1, 2013 through the unexpired term that ends December 31, 2014.
Randy Hartless, who resigned in May due to family reasons, began his service representing La Paz County District I on January 1, 2009, and served as the Board President in 2012.
