UPDATE 9:04am: ADOT says that the right westbound lane is expected to remain blocked for an extended time, so delays may still be possible for westbound traffic much of the day as traffic slows through the area.
UPDATE 8:50am: I-10 westbound has been re-opened, with eastbound lanes to follow.
UPDATE 8:40am: Fire is now out, but scene is designated HAZMAT (hazardous materials). Quartzsite Fire estimates freeway will be closed until 9:40am.

8:32am A serious incident has Interstate 10 at a standstill near the town of Quartzsite at this hour.
Both directions of the freeway are closed. A truck fire has all available units including Buckskin Fire, Parker Police and Quartzsite Fire being called to the scene at milepost 31. Hazmat units are also reportedly involved.
ADOT says drivers should consider delaying travel in the area or using an alternate route. To get around the closure, drivers heading westbound can exit at US 60 and take that highway until they reach State Route 72. After going west on SR 72, drivers can turn south on SR 95 and return to I-10 in Quartzsite.
There is no estimated time to reopen the highway.
