Alyson Tozer’s surgery successful

Miss La Paz County 2012 Alyson Tozer underwent surgery for a successful double lung transplant Thursday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix.

Alyson’s mother Teresa Tozer says she came through the operation successfully:

“After more then 7 hours of surgery, Aly came through with flying colors. She has a very long road to recovery but we are excited to help her heal. We cannot thank you all enough for the outpouring of love and support. Aly has been given an amazing gift of life that I will forever be grateful for.”

Alyson is expected to be in recovery at a rehabilitation facility in Phoenix for several months with her parents Rich and Teresa.
