Let’s gear up for a great weekend!

This’ll be a busy weekend!

The BlueWater Parker 425 Presented by Impact begins as I write this on Thursday morning, with qualifying today by Best In The Desert and the awesome Downtown Experience by the Parker Area Chamber of Commerce this afternoon/evening.

The action continues tomorrow with Contingency Row at BlueWater Resort and Casino’s north parking lot; visitors will be greeted by the sight of dozens of race vehicles in the queue for tech inspection.

And then, Saturday morning bright and early, California Avenue in Parker will be shut down for that rare thing in off-road racing, the street start. BITD’s Casey Folks will personally usher every vehicle onto the course at the designated time, and his team will kick into gear, meticulously keeping track of the race times for later determining the winner.

Before the sun comes up, I’ll be heading to KLPZ’s studio for a whole day of live broadcasting beginning at 7am. It’s a full day of race coverage and can be heard on 1380am and on our website at klpz1380.com. I hope you’ll join us. Also, keep our studio phone number handy: (928) 669-2507. If you see anything newsworthy around the race course, or if you’d just like to ask for news on a race team or say hi from your vantage point on the course, give us a shout.

In addition, Western Park will have the Pot Pourri, the Desert Bar will have live music all weekend and the Big Game (you know the one) will have everyone yelling at TVs across the country on Sunday afternoon. Quite a weekend.
