Gregory Green appointed third head of Probation

Gregory Green has been appointed as the third La Paz County Probation Department Chief Probation Officer since the County was established in 1983. Greg comes to Arizona with 36 years experience involving juvenile delinquents and adult criminal offenders. His latest criminal justice assignment for the last 15 years has been with the Allegany County Probation Department, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he has served as the supervisor of a sex offender special services unit.

Greg earned his Bachelors degree in the Administration of Justice (1997) from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters Degree in Social Science Criminal Justice (2003) from the California University of Pennsylvania.

Greg comes to La Paz County, and the State of Arizona, with numerous skills in organizational management and hands on professional experience with community relations, victim sensitivity and offender management. He combines risk and needs assessments and cognitive behavioral interventions to help improve the quality of life for our community.

Greg joins the La Paz County Superior Court executive team with the Judge of the Superior Court, Sam Vederman, and the Clerk of the Superior Court, Megan Spielman.
