“Thank You” From the Parker Area Chamber of Commerce

On behalf of the Parker Area Chamber of Commerce Staff and the Board of Directors, we want to thank everyone for their cooperation and assistance during the 37th Annual Parker Tube Float. This year we registered 4,568 people for the event, which is up slightly from last year. Pre and Post-event surveys show that area lodging was near or at capacity, restaurants and grocery stores had great sales. Approximately 8,000 people attended the event.

We could not do this alone! This takes massive cooperation from so many in our community. BlueWater Resort & Casino, BlueWater Resort & Casino Security, BlueWater Resort & Casino Hospitality Staff, La Paz County Parks, La Paz County Sheriff’s Department, Buckskin Fire Department, American Medical Response/River Medical, CRIT Police Department, CRIT Fire Department, CRIT Fish & Game, CRIT EPO, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Arizona Game & Fish, Parker Fire Department, Colorado River Indian Tribes, United States Coast Guard, United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, Native Air, Arizona Department of Public Safety. These folks are keeping it safe for everyone out on the water and on the land.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to our gracious sponsors:  BlueWater Resort & Casino, Pirate’s Den RV Resort, Sundance Outlaws RV Resort, Romer Beverage, Native Air, Parker Dental Center-Dr Carlos Ruiz, Circle K, Spanky’s RV & Marine, National Bank of Arizona, Frontier Communication, River Rags in Parker, Bradley Chevrolet of Parker, Horizon Community Bank, State Farm Insurance-Sasha Ross Agent, David Plunkett Realty, American Medical Response/River Medical, Roadrunner, Oasis Mini Mart, Safeway, The Hooligan Gang, The Bar, Big Bellie Subs, iFloats, Aqua Lilly Pad, Sparklett’s Water, Jack FM, Natural Tease, Republic/Allied Waste, American Family Insurance-Jennifer Griffis Agent, The Paint Guys, MCM Construction, KLPZ 1380 AM and Speed Energy.

A special “Thank You” to: our very dedicated Chamber Ambassadors and volunteers for manning the registration and t-shirt booths; Don and Greg Rountree from Spanky’s and Richard from MCM Construction for providing air compressors, La Paz County Board of Supervisors, Parker Rotary, River Island Deli, Roadrunner Floating Dock Bar & Restaurant. All of our assist vessel operators and volunteers on the water deserve a huge “Thank You” as well. And KLPZ 1380 AM for letting us come “on the air” and talk about the event in detail. The Parker Pioneer has been a great partner with coverage throughout the planning and the event itself.  And, to the White Sheet for the Town Talk section in covering updates.

I want to also recognize my chamber staff: Kristi Olkowski and Lisa Whittier for their unwavering dedication to this event and the organization. It is a very large undertaking and they are true professionals. Thank you to Josh Savino from Parker Area Tourism for the great marketing campaign, emceeing and support throughout the process. What a great team we have here!

Proceeds from this fundraising event will go toward building maintenance, upgrades to our year-round visitor’s center, business education programs and community awards for the coming year.

Sincerely,
