A blaze consumed a house on Bighorn Drive on the Parker Strip Thursday night. The owner of the house was airlifted for medical attention. The fire started around 9:30 p.m.

Plesae pray for Jake Forbis who received serious burns in the fire. The Forbis family have had another serious family emergency this week and could probably use some kindness in getting through this horrible accident. Good wishes to Jake, his father Steve and Jake’s children.
Who went to the hospital

Information can’t be released as there may be an investigation into what the cause was.
The cause of the fire had not been determined as of 10:30 this morning. Jake is in a Phoenix hospital on a ventilator due to smoke inhalation and being treated for burns. His burns came from trying to escape the fire, which he did and then walked to his parents house across the street and 911 was called.

I really want to thank everyone who will keep my little bro in there thoughts and prayers,he is starting some skin graphs this morning it will be a long road for him but he is in good spirits,I would also just like to say yes I know he is my brothers but I have never known a person like him people who know him can relate to what I am about to say,Jake is a person who will literally drop what he is doing in order to fix someone else problem,now I ask please if in anyway you can help him at all maybe a phone call or anything just let him know we care,cause I know he cares,he has literally lost just about everything,thank you,love you bro,Jake is at the Maricopa burn center in Phoenix,

Jake remains on a ventilator and dialysis, but is doing better. He is more alert, burns are healing well. He has a long ways to go but improving slowly everyday.
