Viewfinder: A Gathering for Aly

People from many cities came out Sunday night to say goodbye to Alyson Tozer one last time. It was amazing. Beautiful vibe. Hundreds of people. Balloons released. Tears rolled. Live music. Photos and video. Tributes all around. Laughter and smiling. A true celebration. And at the end of the night, a few of us stood in the river with Aly’s parents and quietly watched a lantern float up over the river and south with the breeze into the distance. The whole night was a very fitting goodbye to a really special and inspirational friend. I hope the lessons she taught us in her short but bright 21 years won’t be forgotten. “Believe in yourself….”
