La Paz County School Superintendent Janice Shelton has appointed Richard Lamb to complete the term of JoAnne Ehasz on the Arizona Western College District Governing Board.
The position to represent La Paz County District 1 on the board was going to be on the November ballot for a six year term. As Lamb was the sole candidate, the election was cancelled to avoid the unnecessary expense.
He was sworn in at a ceremony on Tuesday at the AWC Parker Learning Center.
JoAnne Ehasz, who resigned back in June, began her service representing La Paz County District 1 on August 1, 2013 with a term scheduled to run through December 31, 2014. Ehasz stepped down due to an out-of-area relocation.
