Parker Live stopped by AWC’s Parker Learning Center to chat for the first time with Dr. Daniel Corr, who will be the 9th President of Arizona Western College in La Paz and Yuma Counties in just a few months.
Press play to hear what Dr. Corr thinks the purpose of the college is, and how he thinks it can play an important role in the Parker area and the other communities served by AWC. Dr. Corr comes to the area from Scottsdale Community College. He was hired after an extensive 3-month search.
A reception was held Tuesday at the Parker Learning Center and was attended by community members, board members, staff and faculty. One attendee told Parker Live it was nice to meet Dr. Corr and that he seemed like a good fit for the college. Dr. Corr is expected to start formally in July.
