A “Miss Parker Scholarship Pageant” will be held Friday at 7pm, organized just a few weeks after the Miss La Paz County pageant due to the high interest from local girls who want a chance to compete in a preliminary to Miss Arizona.
“There are several girls competing at open pageants around the state,” said Aryn Romo, pageant director. “So I thought, why not have another local pageant in Parker and give another girl the amazing opportunity to serve her community and compete at Miss Arizona this June.”
The new pageant is under the same directorship as the Miss La Paz County pageant, but will have a slightly different format.
“With the short amount of time to prepare, there will not be an opening production number dance and the scholarship money awarded will be much less,” Romo said. “Contestants will compete in a private interview, fitness in swimsuit, talent, evening gown and onstage question.”
The competitors are Hailey Ferris (top left), Jessica Aaker (bottom left), Maycee Johnson (top second-left), Victoria Ferris (bottom second-left), Ashley Roberts (top second-right), Yuliana Quezada (bottom second-right) and Fenix Greenwood (bottom-right).
The pageant will be held on Friday, April 8th at 7pm at Grace Assembly of God, 1812 S Navajo Ave, Parker, AZ, 85344.
