Youth football in Parker may end, needs volunteers

Football for young people in Parker may end unless some volunteers come forward, according to one of the league’s organizers.

According to Meghan Romanek, there are currently 3 board members but they need 8 board members and coaching staff. The league is formerly Pop Warner but now American Youth Football, which has more than 500,000 participants internationally.

“We need people who are willing to dedicate their Saturdays all day on the field during the football season at home games,” Meghan told Parker Live. “I am hoping the community can come together and keep this opportunity for our youth to keep active. They can contact me at 928-916-8997 if they are serious.”

The next meeting will be held Wednesday, May 2nd at 5:30pm at Aaron Hill Field next to Western Park in Parker.
