Man unresponsive in vehicle, armed, arrested in Big River

A man who was found unresponsive in a vehicle armed with a firearm was arrested Tuesday in Big River.

At around 2:50 a.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Colorado River Station responded to the intersection of Rio Mesa Drive and Rio Vista Drive in Big River for a report of an unresponsive male in a vehicle armed with an assault-type rifle.

The suspect, Skylar Martinez, 25 years old of Parker, was contacted and arrested for being in possession of a controlled substance while armed with a loaded firearm. Martinez was booked into jail in Needles on $50,000 bail.
