Suspected violent domestic abuser arrested in Ehrenberg

A man was arrested in Ehrenberg on suspicion of committing a litany of violent domestic abuse crimes.

Jacob Orlando Jones, 31, was arrested for aggravated assault / choking, assault general x2, aggravated assault with a victim 15 years of age or younger, aggravated assault on a minor child, kidnapping (x2), attempted murder domestic violence, attempted second degree murder domestic violence, violation of an order of protection and dangerous crime against children.

Jones was seen by the Justice Court Judge and is currently in custody at the La Paz County Detention Facility for $1,000,000 bond.

“There are serious allegations with significant evidence associated with this crime,” said La Paz County Sheriff’s Captain Curt Bagby. “It is a domestic violence case with minor children involved. I will not be releasing any further information at this time due to victim privacy and minor children involvement and the fact that it is an ongoing investigation.”
