A man drowned on Lake Havasu Saturday amid windy conditions and rough water, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
On Saturday, deputies responded to a report of a drowning victim near the Havasu Landing Resort and Casino, which is directly opposite Lake Havasu City on the California side of the lake. It was discovered the victim, David Radine, 58 of Lake Havasu City, had jumped from a boat in the north basin of the lake. Due to high winds and rough water, the reporting party lost sight of Radine in the water.
Upon arrival, a multi-agency Hasty Dive was conducted. Subsequently, a recovery operation was conducted by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Marine Enforcement Unit Dive Rescue Team and Mohave County Sheriff’s Department Waterway Deputies. Radine’s body was located on Tuesday and turned over to the care of the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner’s Division.

Prayers and thoughts to Dave’s family. So very sorry for your loss. Wonderful man! On many occasion I was fortunate to have his help. I consider him a friend. When I reached out to him a couple of weeks back as always he was right there. He always made himself available. I will most certainly miss him and his easy going and gentle personality. This is a devastating loss and Havasu will certainly feel the impact of his absence.
