A man was arrested in Big River for robbery and, a day later, his girlfriend was arrested for intimidation of the victim.
On Sunday, November 6th at around 6:10 pm, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station came in contact with Stephen Welsh, 47, during a report of a robbery that occurred in the 149000 Block of Del Rey Drive in Big River.
During the investigation, deputies determined the suspect was Welsh. Welsh was consequently arrested for PC 211-Robbery and transported to the Colorado River Station jail in Needles for booking.
The following day at around 10:40 am, deputies returned to execute a search warrant at a residence in the 7200 block of Del Rey Drive. During service of the warrant, it was determined that Welsh’s girlfriend Jessica Gonzales, 36, went to the victim’s residence in order to intimidate him.
During the search of the residence, deputies located illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia, which deputies say were easily accessible to the children in the house. Gonzalez was consequently arrested and transported to the Morongo jail for booking. The children were turned over to the custody of San Bernardino County Department of Child and Family Services.
Welsh and Gonzalez were both charged on PC 136.1(c)(1)-Intimidating a Victim/Witness. Gonzalez was also booked on PC 273A(A) – Child Endangerment.
Both remain in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, with bail set at $100,000 for Gonzalez and $300,000 for Welsh.

Honestly he is never going to stop selling meth and he won’t stop robbing people. I do not feel sorry for people like that ….. that purposely hurt others to gain their satisfaction.
