A Big River man has been arrested for attempted murder. The victim is not being released by the detectives investigating the case.
On Saturday at approximately 9:25 a.m., deputies from the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station and Needles Police Department responded to a call for service in reference to a victim who had been assaulted and suffered serious life-threatening injuries requiring immediate medical attention. During the investigation, Clint Canady, 32 of Big River, was identified as the suspect.
Deputies were able to quickly locate Canady and took him into custody without incident. He was subsequently arrested for PC 664/187 – Attempted Murder, and booked at the Needles jail. Canady remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department with a bail amount of $1,000,000, pending a court hearing.
