Free pizza, festival and ribbon cutting this weekend at Pizza Hut

Pizza Hut in Parker is having a 3-day grand re-opening event this weekend that involves fun for the whole family, including ‘Carnival Day’ on Saturday. The restaurant has been remodeled in recent weeks and the company is keen to celebrate, and to share the love with the public in Parker with free pizza, performances and more.

Things get started on Friday, with a ribbon cutting at 4 p.m.

“It’s our give back day, so proceeds are going to the VFW,” said Laura Phillips, Pizza Hut’s ‘Area Coach’ for Parker, Lake Havasu City, Fort Mojave and Bullhead. “What was really important about doing this three day event was the community.”

On Saturday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., there’ll be a bounce house, face painting, balloon artist, and performers including River Tribes United, Red Foot and Autumn Yava & Dine. The flyer also advertises a CRIT Vending Booth with games and prizes.

“You can also get a free personal pan pizza for age 17 and under, or $1.99 for adults,” Laura said, speaking on KLPZ 1380am Wednesday.

On Sunday, the restaurant’s canned food drive will reward donations of canned food (at least 2 cans) with a free medium cheese or pepperoni pizza.

“It’s quite a deal,” Laura said, laughing.

On the remodel of the restaurant, Laura said it was part of Pizza Hut facelifts across Arizona, with Parker being the most recent one. Also highlighted in her conversation was how great a deal the buffet is, at $9.99 for all you can eat including salad, which is brought to your table now.

“It’s 7 days a week, 11 to 2 and 5 to 8 on Wednesdays,” she said.
