It isn’t summer until Tube Float! The Parker Tube Float is set for this Saturday on the Colorado River north of Parker, Arizona, bringing many sun lovers to the largest party on the river.
The event’s 46th year will kick off at 8 am at La Paz County Park, with registration at the park for those who haven’t already registered online. Registrations will stop at 11 am, with the float itself ending at 4 pm.
Parking will be $10 at the park, and shuttles will take groups of floaters upriver to Buckskin Mountain State Park where the start line is. Air compressors will be on site, allowing people to air up, along with ice and other supplies. All floaters must be 13 and up.
Along the way, you’ll pass Sundance Saloon, Fox’s, the all-new Roadrunner and other establishments, and you’ll finish at Pirate’s Den – all of which will be open for drinks, food, music and more. Pirate’s will have a post-float party which will go into the evening.
A no-wake zone will be in effect for the area of the float, which is an annual fundraiser for the Parker Regional Chamber of Commerce and Tourism.
