UTV owners watch it “melt in a matter of seconds” north of Parker

UTV owners Rich and Teresa Tozer watched their 2011 Robby Gordon edition RZR burn down to the cage over the weekend, saying it melted “in a matter of seconds.”

“It was a beautiful day,” Teresa told Parker Live. “Four of us left the Keys and headed to the Desert Bar. We got to the signal light and headed up the highway. Within minutes, some guy pulled up right next to us and said, ‘You’re on fire!'”

Teresa said Rich immediately pulled over and everybody bailed out.

“I headed away from the fire, Rich and the others went to the engine to see if they could put it out. There was a guy, Scott, and his friend that arrived right at that time. It was already too late. We all just watched it melt waiting for the fire department.”

Teresa said she and Rich are “very sad” that the UTV was lost, but also very “thankful and grateful” that all four passengers got out safely.

“We offer a sincere thank you to whoever that person was that told us it was on fire. We didn’t know. Also a huge thank you to Scott and his friend who stayed and offered to help us.”
