Roadworks on 95 to slow traffic today and Monday

Drawdown in effect on the river
The Bureau of Reclamation says it has lowered Lake Moovalya (the Colorado River at Parker and the Parker Strip) by one foot in its annual drawdown. The water should return to its normal levels by January 22nd. People using the river should be aware of more exposed sandbars, rocks etc. as they navigate the water.

A former Parker councilman was handed a 20-year prison sentence for sex with a child on December 31st. Frank Hernandez was initially arrested April 10th, 2012 for a number of counts relating to child molestation and sexual conduct with a minor, identified in court as an underage female.
