A former Parker councilman was handed a 20-year prison sentence for sex with a child on December 31st. Frank Hernandez was initially arrested April 10th, 2012 for a number of counts relating to child molestation and sexual conduct with a minor, identified in court as an underage female. The Parker Police Department has made 5 recent arrests of subjects suspected in committing thefts and burglaries in the town of Parker. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Western Area Power Administration (Western) today released the final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed Quartzsite Solar Energy Project.
