It has now been one week since Kayla Anderson, 21 of Parker, was hospitalized for treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). A Facebook update from her boyfriend Charley Robertson says she is in good spirits: “She is doing well, laughing and smiling.”
Robertson says Kayla is expected to be home after the first of four treatment sessions just after Christmas, and will return to Phoenix Children’s Hospital two weeks later to continue chemotherapy.
