The contractor performing the work to replace the Colorado River bridge has said that they plan to begin work to pave Kofa Avenue between California Avenue and 2nd Street on Monday, January 23rd. Their plan is to have the road closed starting Monday and may re-open by Friday, January 27th depending on weather, striping, etc. Further details to come.

Accident on I-10 eastbound
1:45pm– A semi accident has the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 closed at milepost 89. Motorists are being advised to avoid the route by using the exit at milepost 81 or by taking Highway 60. The Sheriff’s Department estimates the lanes will be closed for at least 4 more hours.
