Fugitive sex offender arrested at County Park

On October 7, 2010, Bruce Ronald Pope was arrested for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Pope had fled California after serving time for a Sex Offense Against a Minor. The La Paz County Criminal Investigations Division was contacted by the U.S. Marshal’s Service who requested assistance locating Pope. Pope was located at the La Paz County Park Space #5. Investigators along with the U.S. Marshal’s Service arrested Pope there without incident.

Pope was booked into the La Paz County Adult Detention Facility by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, and is being held on a fugitive warrant out of California.
