A fire gutted a mobile home leaving it a total loss Wednesday morning.

The structure, at Riverglen Mobile Home Park on Cienega Springs Road north of Parker, went up in a blaze after a reported electrical fire, according to sources close to the family.

The occupants of the home – a single mother and her two young children – were home at the time but were able to get out safely after her older child warned her mom. The family has lived there for only a few months and the younger child is still an infant.

Friends of the family are seeking help, including looking for a home for them, preferably a 3-bedroom for around $650 per month. The infant needs everything except a car seat and crib. The daughter is 3 years old and wears size 11 shoes. Mom wears a size 5 and size 9 shoe. Furniture could be held until a home is found. Any donations can be made through the Parker Area Chamber of Commerce.
