Drowning on the lake Saturday

A male victim drowned on Saturday on Lake Havasu, according to law enforcement. The name was not released.

On Saturday, September 23rd at approximately 10:50 am, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Marine Enforcement Unit responded to the report of a drowning near Standard Wash in Lake Havasu. The Marine Enforcement Unit and Sheriff’s Dive Team arrived on scene and deployed a diver. The male was believed to have been underwater for approximately 30 minutes. The victim was found immediately in approximately 18 feet of water. Marine Enforcement Unit personnel performed CPR on the male and transported him to Cattail Cove Marina to meet with medical personnel.

The male later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. Mohave County Sheriff’s Office assumed the investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Deputy J. Bare at the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office at 928-753-0753
