An accident closed two lanes of California Avenue in Parker this morning at around 8 a.m.  The two vehicles involved were a red Ford F-150 pickup truck and a white Buick Rendezvous SUV. Quartzsite’s Jennifer Jones arrested Friday

Quartzsite newspaper publisher and activist Jennifer Jones was arrested on Friday at the town’s Post Office. The arrest was for the charge of Tampering with a Witness, and apparently stems from another case involving a woman called Denise Florian, who reportedly moved to Quartzsite recently. Parker girl diagnosed with leukemia

Parker resident Kayla Anderson, 21, recently found out that she has acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells, characterized by the rapid growth of abnormal white blood cells that accumulate in the bone marrow and interfere with the production of normal blood cells.
