UPDATED to reflect doubled amount (original $10,000).

A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for burning down several stacks of hay bales in the valley south of Parker last week.

Eight stacks in total were burned on July 14th at four locations in the valley, the product of months of farming in the agricultural area of the Colorado River Indian Tribes reservation.

The fires were set intentionally, according to CRIT Police, near Indian School Road and 4th Avenue, Burns Road and 7th Avenue, Booth Road and 2nd Avenue and Mohave Road and 6th Avenue.

The $20,000 reward is being offered “for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for multiple hay stack fires” during the early morning hours.

  1. Sickening, actually hurts my heart to see the pics & discusts me that anyone would stoop so low to do something like this to people’s hard work and livelihood. Karma will get them for sure. Glad a great reward being offered. Lock up the low life’s and feed them burnt hay for breakfast lunch & dinner. Everyone needs to share this.

Whether it was done by one, few or many….It’s an act of a coward. Getting pleasure and power by watching others suffer….and in your OWN community? I hope your ego blabs what you did at the right time and place and that information gets to the authorities. I hope someday you will experience a loss as devistating but that is not for me to decide. That is why I will pray for the strength to forgive, let go and let God.
